• Dominique Strauss Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, was confirmed as the honorary guest for the gala. The event will be held on January 30, 2009. The US Alumni-Association and the School will co-host the event.

We would like to thank the great number of talented applicants who made the selection process highly competitive.
We are also delighted to announce that our Board has allocated

Alumni, Friends and Visitors:
Welcome to the site of
Sciences Po Alumni, Inc., the not-for-profit organization that is comprised of
Alumni residing in the U.S. who have studied at “Rue Saint Guillaume” in Paris.
We welcome their friends as well. Our Alma Mater is an international university
located in France and a worldwide leader in social, economic and political
science. It currently has in place exchange and cooperation programs with more
than 60 colleges and universities in the United States. Past and present
students and faculty who reside in America and their friends who come from all
over the world are welcome to join our unique Association. We are reaching out
to all those who are ready to live by the core values developed at Sciences Po,
promote international understanding, train responsible citizens of the world
and create a network of fraternal relations among alumni.
In the United States, our Association celebrated its Fiftieth Anniversary in 2007
where the noted financier, Henry R. Kravis., Founding Partner, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Co.
was honored. along with Sciences Po alumnus, Baron Ernest-Antoine Seilliere,
Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Wendel. We work in close coordination with
Sciences Po. and with the Global Sciences Po. Alumni Association, which
includes over 8,000 active members in 19 countries. Sciences Po. Alumni, Inc.
is a duly registered not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York with chapters in
Washington DC and Chicago. We expect to establish additional chapters soon in
Boston, California, Texas and elsewhere. We provide networking opportunities by
organizing cultural and social events, debates and other academic and business
activities. We could assist you in your employment or relocation needs. In
addition, we give you the opportunity to meet fellow Sciences Po alumni and
keep in touch with your friends and faculty from rue Saint Guillaume. We have
established some very interesting activities. Sciences Po. Alumni, Inc., has
launched ambitious internship and scholarship programs, funded in part by an
annual prestigious gala. Four scholarships for a total of $30,000 will be awarded
in 2008.
The guest speaker at the
next gala event will be Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Professor at Sciences Po and
Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
